Readable Feast Boston Food and Cookbook Awards Submissions
All books submitted must be by a New England-based author, an author with strong New England ties, or about a New England food subject. Titles submitted may have a publication date of May 1, 2016 - April 30, 2017. Titles may be considered and awarded in multiple categories. (E-Books will not be considered.)
Cookbook of the Year – must contain recipes.
Single Subject –a cookbook which focuses on a specific ingredient, technique, or appliance. This category may include non-alcoholic beverages, Must contain recipes.
Memoir & Food Writing –fiction or nonfiction regarding food, food related travel, culinary history and biography. Quality of writing is defining factor. May or may not contain recipes.
Wine, Beer & Spirits –history, recipes and mixology. Must contain recipes
Aesthetic Achievement –achievement in food styling, photography, and graphic design. Must contain recipes.
Socially Conscious – cookbook with focus on the impact of local and global healthy eating and food production; including nutrition, food availability, farming and fishing, political and legal issues regarding food, ethics of food, and cultural issues of food and eating. May or may not contain recipes.
People's Choice Award –online voting by the general public for ONE overall favorite.
Deadline for submissions is MAY 1, 2017
