Jeremy Sewall’s New England roots trace back to summers in Maine and a family of lifelong fishermen. After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America, he cooked at the White Barn Inn, then in London and Amsterdam for Albert Roux. He returned to Boston to work at L’Espalier, where he met his wife, pastry chef Lisa. A move to California earned him a James Beard Rising Star nomination while leading the Lark Creek Inn.

Back home in 2003, Sewall opened Great Bay to national acclaim, followed by his first independent restaurant with Lisa, Lineage in Brookline. His success expanded with Island Creek Oyster Bar and the Row 34 restaurants in Boston, Portsmouth, Burlington, Cambridge, and Kenmore Square, earning widespread media praise.

Sewall is also a James Beard–nominated cookbook author, an advocate for sustainable seafood, and a committed mentor who has helped raise over $1.25 million for Friends of Dana-Farber.

Erin Byers Murray is the Editor in Chief at The Local Palate magazine, which celebrates the food culture of the South. She’s also an author and cookbook editor who has written multiple books including "Shucked: Life on a New England Oyster Farm," and "Grits: A Cultural and Culinary Journey Through the South," and co-authored three cookbooks including the James Beard-nominated "The New England Kitchen” and the newly released “Everyday Chef.” Erin is the recipient of the Les Dames d'Escoffier International M.F.K. Fisher Award for excellence in culinary writing and the New England Society Book Award, and her writing has been featured in publications like Food & Wine, the Boston Globe, Huffington Post, Wine & Spirits, and more, as well as three editions of Best Food Writing.
